Trauma Courses

The CENA Trauma Nursing Program is a two day program developed for nurses providing emergency care to trauma patients across the lifespan, in both metropolitan and regional/rural settings.

The Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) was developed by the ENA (USA) to improve the care of the trauma patient through international development and the identification of a standardised body of trauma nursing knowledge. ACEN is proud to deliver this course throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS®) Course of the American College of Surgeons has had a dramatic effect in improving outcome of patients by standardising their resuscitation and initial assessment, and providing one safe simple way for the initial care of such patients.

The Definitive Surgical Trauma Care (DSTC) course is recommended by The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for all Consultant Surgeons and final year trainees.
